About Us

We developed www.onlinecoursesearch.com to provide a searchable, web-based database for nursing professionals interested in taking distance courses from accredited institutions. As a faculty member, then director, of a nursing program at the University of Maine, I often found myself in the situation of helping students locate courses that were not available in our institution, or not being offered within the needed time frame. There have been programs and degree offerings, such as the University of Phoenix, but until now, there has been no way (beyond making numerous phone calls and/or looking at individual websites) to make choices from different schools’ courses offered totally at a distance. We created this site with the hope and expectation that it will facilitate the location of courses and stimulate interest in offering more courses totally at a distance. At the request of many schools, we have added the option of adding distance programs to the database. We hope you will benefit as students and advisors of students from our website. Please send feedback and suggestions to us at contact@onlinecoursesearch.com.

Sincerely,
